What we create

RETRO THINC is a contemporary lighting brand developing sculptural lighting for private, creative, and hospitality spaces. Across our collections, we explore different expressions of light—from kinetic movement and fluid transformation to warmth, reflection, and shadow.

Each project begins with a distinct idea. Rather than imposing a fixed visual signature, we allow the intended experience, the behavior of light and materials, and the surrounding context to shape the outcome. Each piece is conceived to retain a clear presence when unlit and to transform the atmosphere when illuminated.

 

How we work

Our process moves between research, prototyping, material testing, and manufacturing refinement. Form and visual character are developed alongside performance, usability, and the technical requirements of each object.

The methods vary from one collection to another. Some projects call for proprietary glass-forming equipment; others involve hand-spun metalwork, specialized surface finishing, or custom assembly. We collaborate closely with skilled makers and production partners to select and refine the process most appropriate to each design.
