Voltage Notice

This product is designed for 120V / 60Hz (U.S. standard only).
Do not attempt to operate this product with 220–240V power without a compatible voltage converter. Doing so may result in electrical damage, malfunction, or heating failure.

Shipping Policy

Each RETRO THINC lamp is hand-finished and undergoes hours of flow and performance testing before shipment to ensure proper thermal performance and kinetic movement.

Lead Times

• In-stock orders typically arrive within 4–6 weeks
• Delivery timelines are estimates only and may vary depending on destination, carrier conditions, customs processing, and seasonal demand.

Carrier & Packaging

• Domestic U.S. orders are shipped via premium carriers such as FedEx or UPS.
• Due to the weight and fragility of the glass components, all products are shipped using reinforced protective packaging designed to help protect the lamp during transit.
• Shipping is charged at a flat rate of $20–$30 per lamp, depending on destination, and will be calculated at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

Return Window

Return Process

Step 1: Submit Your Request
To start a return, please email info@retro-thinc.com with your order number and photos or a video clearly showing the issue.
Our team will review your request and respond within 2–3 business days.

Step 2: Authorization
If your return is approved, we will email you a return authorization form and return shipping instructions.

Step 3: Pack Your Lamp
RETRO THINC lamps are shipped in custom protective packaging designed specifically for safe transport.
If the original packaging and protective materials are not used for the return, are missing, or are damaged, a mandatory $25 repackaging fee will be deducted from your refund to cover replacement packaging costs.
Please allow the lamp to cool completely before packing.

Step 4: Ship It Back
Please return the package using a trackable shipping service.
We recommend FedEx or UPS for reliability and ease of claims.
For confirmed manufacturing defects or shipping damage, RETRO THINC will provide appropriate resolution instructions.
We strongly recommend purchasing shipping insurance, as RETRO THINC is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Step 5: Inspection & Refund
Once your return is received, our team will inspect the item.

• Approved returns: Your refund, minus any applicable fees, will be processed within 7–10 business days after the returned item has been received and approved.
• Rejected returns: If the item is found to be damaged, incomplete, altered, misused, or not in acceptable condition, we reserve the right to deny the refund or issue a partial refund at our discretion.

Non-Returnable Items

Returns or exchanges cannot be accepted in the following cases:

• More than 8 days have passed since delivery
• The product has been altered, misused, or damaged
• Damage, stains, scratches, odors, or visible signs of wear occurred after delivery
• Accessories, components, or other included items are missing

If the original packaging or protective materials are not used, missing, or damaged, a mandatory $25 repackaging fee will be deducted from the refund.

Damage During Transit

If your order arrives damaged during shipping, please contact us within 3 business days of delivery at:

Please include:

• Photos of the exterior shipping box, including the shipping label
• Photos of the damaged product
• Your order number

Claims submitted after this period may not be eligible for replacement coverage.

Manufacturing Defects

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed under normal use, such as electrical malfunction or component failure, RETRO THINC will provide a replacement unit or replacement parts at no additional cost.

This does not include:

• Damage caused by misuse, improper assembly, or accidents
• Damage caused by incorrect voltage use
• Unauthorized modifications
• Cosmetic marks occurring after delivery
• Natural wax behavior or environmental performance variations

Natural Variations

Because each RETRO THINC lamp is hand-finished, slight variations in the following are considered natural characteristics of the product and are not defects:

• Glass dimensions
• Wax flow
• Movement behavior
• Color appearance

Minor marks resulting from testing and finishing processes are also not considered defects.
Wax movement may vary depending on room temperature, operating duration, and environmental conditions.

Environmental Conditions

To achieve optimal wax movement, we recommend the following ambient room temperatures:

• Floor lamp: ≥ 18°C / 65°F
• Table lamp: ≥ 15°C / 59°F

In colder environments, wax movement may slow or temporarily stop.
This is a normal characteristic of lava lamps and is not considered a defect.

Order Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase.
Once order processing, packaging, or shipment preparation has begun, cancellation may no longer be possible.
